I’m Pat Allen, a dedicated entrepreneur, real estate leader, and author. I spent years running a successful bed and breakfast before transitioning into real estate, where I’ve been a top producer for over two decades. My latest passion is writing and speaking—helping others find love, purpose, and joy by overcoming fear and embracing change. My book: Hurdles in a Girdle…Holding Life Together When You’re Bursting at the Seams is a compilation of all the hurdles I jumped in my personal and professional life that led to a life filled with joy and purpose.

After selling my successful bed and breakfast, I transitioned into real estate, quickly becoming a top producer for over 2 decades. I became the Broker-in-Charge at Harry Norman Realtors before founding my own firm, Pat Allen Realty Group, which grew and thrived over the past 12 years and led to an acquisition with Allen Tate Realtors.

What is the biggest challenge you faced in your business?
Navigating changes, whether in the real estate market, personal life, or business ownership. I’ve learned that resilience and adaptability are key to overcoming any hurdle.
What are you most proud of regarding your business?
The ability to help clients find not just houses, but homes where they can create lasting memories. I’m also proud of the team I’ve built and the impact we’ve had on the Highlands/Cashiers community. My daughter became my partner leading to her profound success.

Pat Allen moved to Highlands thirty years ago and she and her late husband, also named Pat, opened a bed and breakfast and cooking school. It was so popular no marketing was needed and even Southern Living Magazine discovered it and wrote a two-page story featuring it!
After eight years the inn was sold, and Pat went into real estate in the small mountain town of Highlands – voted the number one small mountain town in the country by Travel and Leisure Magazine in 2024.
Pat’s knowledge, determination, work ethic, and negotiations skills quickly soared her to a top producer for her twenty-year career in real estate. From being the Broker-in-Charge at Harry Norman Realtors in Highlands for 8 years she ventured out to open Pat Allen Realty Group twelve years ago and in 2021merged with Allen Tate Realtors, the largest independent and most successful firm in the country.
She and her daughter, Julie Osborn, Pat continuously wins awards and break records and remain top producers.
She is an avid dog lover and large supporter of the Highlands/Cashiers Humane Society as well as other Humane Societies throughout the country. She also supports too many non-profits to name! She is a true believer in giving back.
Pat enjoys writing, having authored two cookbooks: Whisk Upon a Star and Mouth of the South. Her latest book: Hurdles in a Girdle…Holding Life Together When You’re Bursting at the Seams was published by the same group who did Jack Canfield’s books known for the Chicken Soup for the Soul series as well as The Success Principles. Jack endorsed Pat’s book on the cover. Her book is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble online and was launched April 25, 2024.
Pat is dedicated, determined, and driven and her success is due to the fact that she always makes it about her client…not herself. She felt compelled to write her book to help other women find love, purpose and joy in their lives.
