I’m always incredibly passionate about the humans in my life. The man I get to marry, the children I’ve had the pleasure of raising, the friends and extended family in our lives, my humans are incredibly important to me. From a work perspective, Aurora Network has my whole heart. I’m so passionate about the work we’re doing through that organization, and the impact we’re able to make for the kingdom of God and humanity in general. It’s truly an amazing journey and the fruits of our labor are becoming more and more sweet with each passing year. We have built a coaching community, where women who are passionate about life coaching can do so through the lens of Christian faith and among a community of other coaches and leaders to both increase her impact and her financial security, as well as build a business among other believers that she can be truly proud of. We’ve also built out coaching systems and ancillary services to serve a broad base of clientele in whatever way she wishes to be served. It’s been an amazing journey, and as I stated previously, getting better all the time!

Candice’s Leadership Philosophy
My leadership and coaching philosophy has always been deeply rooted in faith, empowerment, and intentionality. I believe in the tenets of servant leadership and have allowed those principles to guide my approach in all I do. It has served my business endeavors well through the years, but it is not a simple or easy to maintain, and you have to have pretty thick skin. There will always be those who believe you haven’t done enough or made the right decisions, but the overall end result is success on a lot of different levels.

The Story Behind The Business
When I was a young teenager I went through a very dark season, one that I wasn’t totally sure I would ever come out of. I was in deep despair and pain and frustration and crying out to the Lord for relief every day. I finally came to a crossroads where I actually considered ending my life or running away from home. I wasn’t sure what the answer was, I just knew that I couldn’t take much more of where I was. There was a moment where I felt the whispers of the Holy Spirit telling me to hang on and hold on to hope, that not only would it be ok, but that my pain would be used for a purpose one day. I’ve kept that in my head and my heart the last 35 years as I pursued my own growth and intentional living. About 7 years again, those whispers started stirring again telling me to pursue the use of my pain for a purpose, HIS purpose, and Aurora was eventually born out of that.
Impacting Lives
The hope and the drive behind Aurora is to encourage our clients to pursue healing, find her purpose and passion and pursue that intentionally and wholeheartedly. We are very holistic in our approach to these endeavors, understanding that we all have but one life to live, and that life is best lived in balance. So, while we do have specialized coaching programs such as Health and Wellness, Business and Leadership, Relationships, Financial and Stewardship, etc., all of our coaches take a holistic approach to the whole human with a strong emphasis on Jesus and faith.
The Benefits of Candice’s Work
At the end of the day, I think the biggest benefit of working with me is the ultimate realization that the God-given gifts and talents and dreams and possibilities already lie within her, and by working with me or with Aurora those are going to show up and become really evident. Then we’re going to pull those out, refine and grow them, and launch them into the world in a really beautiful way.
From challenges to wins
What is the biggest challenge you faced in your business?
Technology! All of the technology is new to me and is very very confusing. It’s a new business model, new approach, new skills. It’s been a very steep learning curve. I don’t mind that, but I’ve been working on this venture while still maintaining other endeavors, so learning the technology, in particular, has been very challenging.
What are you most proud of regarding your business?
We have created a community of believers that I’m super proud of. The ladies on the team support each other and are the biggest cheerleaders for their co-workers, and everyone is doing such amazing work. It’s a network and a family and team of talented, dedicated, loving, passionate, Christ filled women, learning and growing and serving together. It’s really amazing.
What you need to know about Candice
When I work in my business, it’s never been about me. It’s about being obedient to God’s call on my life. So when people “know” me, I want them to know that they are safe, loved, and supported, and I want to point them directly back to Jesus. I hope they see Him in me.

Candice in a word: Passionate
My fiancé and my kiddos say that the word that best describes me is “passionate” and I tend to agree with them. I’m passionate about everything that I give my time to. Life is too short and time is too precious to spend on anything less than what sets your soul on fire. My grandma used to joke when I was very little that I’d slide head first into heaven, battered and bruised and all used up and shout “I’m here! And I did it ALL!” So yeah, I guess passionate is a good word.
