MiShawn talks about her passions!

Here’s what I can tell you about myself… 

My 20s were about exploration, my 30s were an adventure in uncovering, my 40s  were a deep becoming—and my 50s? They’ve been about reclaiming. Reclaiming my  sense of adventure, my self-worth, my creativity, and most of all, my voice. 

Right now, I’m most passionate about full self-expression and possibility without  limits. I don’t believe in boxes. I’m not just a coach or just a wine consultant—I’m both,  and more. We are multi-dimensional women living rich, layered lives, and we get to  show up in all the ways that feel true. That’s the freedom I want for myself and for  every woman I work with.

At the heart of everything I do is this belief: You’re meant for more and you can have it  all.

MiShawn’s Coaching Philosophy

My coaching is rooted in two things: releasing and revealing. 

Releasing the limiting beliefs that hold us back—and revealing the true, radiant self  that wants to be seen and known. 

I believe that powerful coaching creates space for women to rediscover themselves,  reconnect with their purpose, and feel truly lit up about what’s possible. Leadership,  to me, is about holding the vision when someone forgets it—and helping them rise  into it.

At the heart of everything I do is this belief: You’re meant for more and you can have it  all. Where I come in is in helping women define their all and how to create that life  now. 

The Story Behind The Business

My first business was VinoVie | the wine life, which I started in 2010—unexpectedly. It  began with a growing curiosity and love for wine that took root during a weekend trip  to Sonoma with the man who would later become my husband. We rode bikes  through vineyards, tasted beautiful wines, and that’s when I fell in love—with wine, and  with him. 

Soon after, I partnered with the Boisset Collection and built a thriving wine business.  But the deeper magic happened when I began mentoring others on their own wine  and entrepreneurship journeys. That’s when I discovered my love for coaching— helping people stretch, lead, and celebrate their growth. From there, I began  developing more personalized, purpose-driven coaching and training, and it’s grown  into the work I now do across both the personal and professional realms.

Trust what’s calling you. Start small if you need to. But start.

From challenges to wins

What is the biggest challenge you faced in your business?

One of my biggest challenges was letting go of doing everything myself—especially  the behind-the-scenes tasks like design, tech, and admin. I used to enjoy getting on  

Canva and making my own materials, but as my business grew, it started taking too  much time and pulling me away from the work only I could do and loved. 

The turning point came when I saw how a colleague had streamlined her business  with a VA. Everything was flowing for her—emails, meetings, materials—and I thought,  Wait, I can have that too. Hiring a VA was a game-changer. It freed up my time,  reduced my stress, and gave me the space to stay in my zone of genius. Honestly, it  felt magical. 

Because here’s the truth: just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should. 

What are you most proud of regarding your business?

I’m most proud that I’ve evolved with it. 

I’ve allowed myself to shift, expand, and stay true to what’s calling me now—without  clinging to what once worked or how things should look. That’s growth, and that’s  what I hope to model for the women I serve.
